Whether you are a busy mom, a busy dad, or you are just plain tired and don’t have the energy to go all out for a meal. This is a side dish that takes minimal prep time and is impressive on a plate. I remember the first time I made this for the family…the boys eyes were huge when they saw it on their plates and my husband didn’t quite know how to attack it. BUT, I will tell you that it is now a great go-to because we all love it!

This roasted cabbage recipe has 4 simple quick steps, and 3 ingredients. However, we do use our Home Made Organic Paleo Seasoning Blend to top it all off. To see how that is made click here. ( You can put all the seasoning on separately if you choose, but you will love the convenience in having our blend premade.) 

The main components of our roasted cabbage recipe are:

  • 1 whole Cabbage
  • 3-4 tbsps of Avacado Oil
  • Home Made Organic Paleo Seasoning Blend

Cut your cabbage

You will want to cut the cabbage widthwise starting at the top. So, you will cut the very top off first and work your way down. We do ours a little less than 1 inch wide. Otherwise, Like you will in my pics later you will have a hard time getting all of the cabbage on your cooking tray.

Put the slices on a cooking tray

Place your cabbage slices on a cooking sheet covered cooking tray. You may have to work them in tight depending on the size of your tray. We have a pampered chef stone tray we use.

While on the tray, cover one side with Avocado Oil

we pour 3-4 tablespoons full into a small bowl and baste on with basting brush. You could pour it straight on top and use a brush to make sure the entire top is covered. You only need to do this on one side of the cabbage.

Add your homemade organic paleo seasoning

Since your cabbage is covered in avocado oil your seasoning will stick easily. You want to make sure there is a thin layer of seasoning on top of each piece.

Put in oven on 400F for 20-25 mins

Sit, wait, let the aroma fill the air! You can also put other veggies or meat in the oven and let them cook at the same time.

Remove from oven and serve!

when you pull it out, it should be a little soft and you may have a few burnt edges.. No big deal!
